The Young Alaskan Bull Framed Metal Art
by Evelyn Adams
Alaska Bull Moose
This magnificent animal is perhaps one of the greatest icons of Alaska. Providing food to thousands of locals each year, this population of roughly 175,000 are a beauty to behold. Scavenging for willows and small bushes in the winter, they roam, day after day. Frequently they band together in the colder months to protect themselves from predators like the wolf. However, as spring comes, they begin to grow back a weapon of protection so superior to all others, that even the great grizzlies of Alaska fear the bull moose. Just as the bull moose before you, thousands more begin the process of growing magnificent antlers (ranging in size of nearly six feet) that will provide protection and defense from the wild and other bulls ready to take charge of their territory and the cows they defend.
